SOULMATE 2019
Soulmate” (2019), held at the prestigious Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, marked a defining moment in our curatorial journey, an exhibition envisioned and executed entirely by us, with a singular focus on presenting the depth and authority of senior contemporary Indian art.
Distinguished by its strong curatorial voice, the show brought together an eminent group of artists including Sanjay Chakraborty, Gireeshan, Anil Kumar Sinha, Nara Hari, and Bhattathiripad, among others, each contributing works that embodied decades of artistic rigor and evolved practice.
Rather than positioning itself as a conventional group exhibition, “Soulmate” (2019) unfolded as a cohesive narrative one that explored introspection, cultural memory, and the enduring relationship between artist and medium.
The exhibition emphasized the quiet power and maturity of established voices, allowing each work to resonate with clarity and intention within a thoughtfully structured space. By curating a platform dedicated to such accomplished practitioners, we sought to reaffirm the significance of experience, discipline, and artistic continuity in shaping contemporary discourse.
“Soulmate” (2019) stood as a testament to our commitment to presenting art with integrity and depth creating an environment where timeless expression met discerning audiences in a setting of understated sophistication.
