Meet The Director
Renu Khera is an art educator, curator, and collector based in New Delhi, with over two decades of active involvement in art education, curation, and practice. She is the Founder and Director of the National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) and Galerie NIFA, both established with a focus on artistic integrity, learning, and long-term engagement with art.
Founded in 2005, NIFA has grown as a space for structured art education, emphasizing strong fundamentals, studio discipline, and thoughtful exposure to artistic processes. Through teaching, workshops, and exhibitions, the institute has contributed consistently to the development of young artists within Delhi’s art-education ecosystem.
Building upon this educational foundation, Galerie NIFA was conceived as a curated platform for authentic and original artworks, with a particular focus on senior contemporary artists alongside select emerging voices. Renu Khera’s curatorial approach is measured and reflective, privileging depth, continuity, and dialogue over commercial trends.
Over the years, she has curated and presented exhibitions across respected cultural platforms in India and abroad, including shows such as Soulmate at Bikaner House, New Delhi, as well as exhibitions at Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, and at venues in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Dubai. These presentations reflect a consistent engagement with thoughtful exhibition-making and sensitive curatorial narratives.
Alongside her curatorial and educational work, Renu Khera maintains a private collection of modern and contemporary Indian art, developed through years of study and close engagement with artists and their practices. For first-time buyers, she offers considered guidance focused on authenticity, provenance, and long-term value, rather than short-term trends.
Through her ongoing work at NIFA and Galerie NIFA, she continues to support artists, mentor students, and engage collectors with clarity and care approaching art not as an assertion of status, but as a sustained practice of learning and dialogue
